First hour

The garage opens with three Trail trucks you do not earn: The Protector (4.0 m, United Kingdom, the starting vehicle), The Ding (3.7 m, Japan, owned from the start) and The Trailrat (4.0 m, United States, owned from the start). The other 18 trucks are challenge-trail rewards.

Emerald Lake has the three shortest Canada jobs, and every one of them abandons at 100 m off the route. Hermit Trail is 31 checkpoints and 40 Pebbles and pays The Burro, a Workhorse. Windy Joe Trail is 11 checkpoints and 25 Pebbles and pays The Trail Burner, a Wagon. Elizabeth Oath Trail is 11 checkpoints and 15 Pebbles, with no truck.

Emerald Lake, Gimli Ridge and Asgard Mountain are the Canada side, in The Valhallas. Tassili n'Ajjer Desert and Aurès Mountains are the Algeria side. You do not have to clear Canada before an Algeria trail. Cabins, crates, scenic points and meteorites sit on the same area sheets as the trails.

The field kit is already in the inventory. You do not buy a second set. A truck carries tools in one slot at stock and up to four after the slot upgrades. The portable winch starts with three copies and a 10 m reach. Planks start with three copies: a pair of 8 m planks, placed up to 10 m away. The jack starts with one copy, flips the truck, and moves it up to 7.5 m onto about 2 m of clear ground. A used tool refills at the Mechanic, at a cabin, or on a cabin respawn.

On Windows the game needs Windows 10 64-bit, an Intel Core i5-7400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 8 GB of RAM, a Nvidia GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX 5600, DirectX 11, a broadband connection and 4 GB of storage. Those figures were tested at 1920×1080. Sixteen interface languages ship with the game, from English and French through Simplified Chinese, Ukrainian, Dutch and Latin American Spanish. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Switch 2 are the 2027 console dates, not a 2026 ship window.

First drive keeps the checkpoint table, the Canada truck list, and the upgrade prices.
